For a long time, I've been interested by the intersection of technology and psychology.  Our brains are thousands of years from adapting to the new kinds of stimuli we regularly expose ourselves to.

In ".thread," I chose to set a very sensitive text.  Every word sung in the piece was taken from a collection of posts in r/SuicideWatch, a subreddit for suicidal individuals to anonymously reach out for help on the internet. 

 

The goal, despite the undoubtably bleak subject matter, is to tell a story of beauty as hundreds of strangers come to the aid of this person in need.
